White Bird Chamber Magnet

An old-fashioned Parade, Celebration, and hometown Rodeo during White Bird Days on Father’s Day weekend in mid-June is always wildly popular. Other fun, family events range from a Sausage Feed in March, to Art Shows & Sales, Chili Cook-Offs, and more. Community events and festivals occur frequently in White Bird, Idaho and in addition to the annual Festival & Parade in mid June, range from trap shoots, to Easter Egg Hunts, bike rides, a Halloween youth party, the Rebekah Turkey Dinner, and Christmas programs….there’s a lot going on in this small town in north central Idaho.

Bi-Annual Quilt Walk, Grangeville

Quilts, quilts, and more quilts!!!  See over 200 quilts displayed along Main Street in downtown Grangeville.  Presented by the CIAA, Central Idaho Arts Association.  83 additional quilts to be auctioned off to benefit local animal shelters.  9-5, Saturday, September 7.  Lots of other quilt related activities.  See Facebook for more information.

Gonzaga Choir Performs at St. Gertrude’s in Cottonwood

The Gonzaga University Concert Choir will perform at the Monastery of St. Gertrude on Sunday, September 8, at 1:30 p.m.  (They will also provide music for the 10:30 AM Mass that day.)  Directed by Timothy Westerhaus.  FREE!  The concert is part of the Spirituality and the Arts Program.  The Monastery Chapel acoustics provide a beautiful arena for musical presentations.  For more details about this concert (an annual event), click here.  A short distance to drive for a wonderful, inspiring, musical event!

72nd Annual Orofino Lumberjack Days, September 12-15

Theme this year is “Boots, Jeans, and Clearwater Dreams.”

The 5th Annual Salmon River Run in Riggins, “A foot race along the beautiful Salmon River.”

This is a family-friendly event offering multiple distances including a Kids’ Fun Run.   Visit the Salmon River Chamber website for more details.  This event is held on the second Saturday in September.  So, this year’s date is September 14.  Event begins at 9 a.m. MDT.  The Salmon River Chamber sponsors this event.
