An old-fashioned Parade, Celebration, and hometown Rodeo during White Bird Days on Father’s Day weekend in mid-June is always wildly popular. Other fun, family events range from a Sausage Feed in March, to Art Shows & Sales, Chili Cook-Offs, and more. Community events and festivals occur frequently in White Bird, Idaho and in addition to the annual Festival & Parade in mid June, range from trap shoots, to Easter Egg Hunts, bike rides, a Halloween youth party, the Rebekah Turkey Dinner, and Christmas programs….there’s a lot going on in this small town in north central Idaho.

Fit and Fall Proof Classes™ meet each Monday and Wednesday, 2 – 3 p.m. at Pleasant View Baptist Church. Classes provide older adults a friendly and safe exercise program developed to help reduce the risk of falling. Improve your balance, strength and mobility. Meet new friends and have fun!!! Voters in White Bird will be voting to fill two City Council seats. The candidates are: Donna Sickels Ingerson, Barbara O’Nash, John Collins, Darrel “Smiley” Lindsey and Josi Pilant. The Idaho Free Press has bios of these candidates. Become informed. Polling stations will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

American Legion Post #152 and White Bird Medical & Relief will co-sponsor a woodcutting “party” as they did last year. Help others with your chopping skills. Place: Gregory Creek Rd (near Dallas Robinettt’s). Provide those in need of winter wood and unable to provide it for themselves. Lunch provided. This is the season of giving!

The American Legion plans a short ceremony at the park at 11:11. There are 32 names to be added to the wall and the additional bricks which people have purchased.

Rifle and Pistol Turkey Shoot, Saturday, November 23
