There will be many opportunities for the citizens of White Bird to Remember and Honor our military.  Please take time to remember their sacrifice.

Subject: 2017 Memorial Day Activities Itinerary


Friday May 27, 2017 1:00 pm

The American Legion White Bird Idaho Post 152 and the White Bird Rebekahs invite the community to help place flags at each veteran’s grave site at the White Bird Cemetery and Slate Creek Cemetery at 1:00pm.  We will also be painting the fence around the memorial for the Calvary marker on the old White Bird Hill.

Monday May 29, 2017 11:00 am

All are invited to the White Bird Cemetery at 11:00 am to pay respect and remember the sacrifices that this Nation’s veterans have made to defend our rights and make this country free.

– Color Guard/Star Spangled Banner
– 21 gun salute
– Retirement of old colors and Installation of new colors
– Taps
– Reading of Veterans’ names
– Prayer

All are invited to the White Bird Park (on the left as you pull into town) immediately following the ceremony for:

– Color Guard/Star Spangled Banner
– 5 Quilts of Valor presentations – to Bob Senter, Earl McCool, Warren McConnell, Matt C. Wheeler, Ural Duane Arnhart.  CONGRATULATIONS and THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU
– Retirement of old colors and Installation of new colors
– Pie offered by the Rebekahs
